About Makkah
Makkah Al Mukarramah is a city of profound spiritual significance, standing at the heart of Islam and the faith of millions of Muslims around the world. Nestled within the Sarawat Mountains, the city lies approximately 70 kilometers east of Jeddah and is shaped by a landscape of mountains, valleys, and wadis that have influenced its history and development over centuries.
At the center of Makkah is Al Masjid Al Haram, home to the Holy Kaaba, the sacred qibla toward which Muslims direct their prayers. For generations, Makkah has welcomed pilgrims from across the globe, serving as a place of worship, unity, and spiritual reflection during Hajj and Umrah.
Beyond the Grand Mosque, visitors can explore sites deeply connected to Islamic history, including Hira Cave, where the first revelation of the Holy Qur’an was received. Alongside its sacred landmarks, Makkah also offers modern amenities such as shopping and dining at the Abraj Al Bait (Clock Towers) and Makkah Mall, providing comfort and convenience for pilgrims and visitors throughout their stay.
